Ichigo: That's how they use that squege.
Satoshi: They do it like nothing, but the slightest change of pressure
might make a completely different thickness of ink. It needs the
finest skill.
Ichigo: How would they proceed?
Satoshi: They would use the spatula usually twice per colour, to
make it even. Sometimes 3-4 times in very fine patterns, but never
just once. It really depends on who actually does it, so LOOPWHEELER
is asking the same person to print a certain graphic.
Ichigo: Indeed, human hands are producing sweatshirt of LOOPWHEELER,
time and labour in abundance. Actually, you can understand it when
you wear it.
Satoshi: In bigger printing factory, every process might be fully
automatic. But if you can't compromise in "taste" and
the level of expression, you are not going to achieve anything in
mass production.
Ichigo: In the field of photography, with all these digital cameras,
it is very good thing that photography is becoming more and more
popular in general sense. On the other hand, however, the originality,
which should be the most important thing, is getting less and less
attention. So I always try to do the ordinary thing in an ordinary
way in the first place. In a sense, I think LOOPWHEELER is doing
the same thing.
Satoshi: I think sweatshirt and T-shirt are not the fashion items,
but the ordinary thing. LOOPWHEELER decided to make the ordinary
things in an ordinary way. Then it had to be made like we went through.
So we want them to be used in a quite ordinary way, then you will
surely be able to tell the difference.
Ichigo: That's the exact policy I shoot photographs. I hope LOOPWHEELER
keeps on making things in that spirit.
Satoshi: You bet we do!
